Great First Practice

Posted Tuesday, February 26, 2008 by Mike Farrell

Last night was the first practice of the second season for the Lebanon Lacrosse Program.

Overall I think it went very well. We will continue to work on the stick skills and do some conditioning. Everyone should have been well prepared for the conditioning we did last night. Last night was just the beginning.

For those of you who still need some work with catching, throwing, ground balls and cradling please see me at any of the practices this week.

I expect all the upper classmen to participate in helping the younger players improve their game.

Several things to remember:

  • We do not pick up ground balls with one hand on the stick.
  • There is to be no horsing around while standing in line waiting your turn.
  • We expect everyone to practice using both hands when going through line drills. This will only improve your game not deter it.
  • Make sure you stretch good during warm-ups. This will prevent injury.
  • Wear warm clothing.
